VITRO AGATE COMPANY, Lamp. Vitro Agate Company lamp. Fascinating Vitro item. It is believed that less than a dozen of these exist. Lamp consists of chromed metal tubes and disks to create a tower on a base, in an art deco design. Embedded in the tower and base are 46 Vitro Agate Company green opaque marbles. The marbles measure from 1 inch to 7/8ths. There are 12, 1 inch marbles around the base. The 3 rows going up the main body are 7/8ths and the top final is another 1 inch. It is generally believed that these made as presentation or gift items, perhaps to Vitro employees. They were never a production item. Base is stamped "The Vitro Agate Company". Very rare item. This lamp is functional, but we would strongly advise that you rewire it. The chrome is in original condition, there is no pitting or discoloration. It is 21" tall. Circa 1935. Mint.

Packages over $200 require a signature upon delivery per our insurance company. Packages valued over $2500 must be shipped via USPS Express Mail or FedEx Overnight Shipping, in order to be insured. We ship to the address on your invoice. If you want us to ship to a different address, just let us know. The only exception to this are items paid through Paypal. Those items must be shipped to your Paypal address in accordance with Paypal rules. If you are a foreign bidder, be aware that the cost of postage tends to be very high for any packages over 15 ounces. Contact us before bidding for an estimate of shipping costs. In addition, you are solely responsible for any customs charges or taxes levied by your country.
