SULPHIDE. Figure is a Standing Spread-winged Owl. Huge figure for the marble with wide outstretched wings. It's amazing that the wings did not break or creak during manufacture. There is a large annealing fracture at the very base of the figure running through the marble and a second annealing fracture from that one up to one wing. Figure is above average detail. Well centered. Good silvering. No damage to the marble surface, except some very light pocket wear. A gorgeous marble but a shame about the annealing fracture. Still, you won't find many like this. Germany, circa 1860-1920. 2-1/4". Near Mint(+) (8.9).

All of our shipping is conducted in-house. Your invoice will include a shipping charge. We charge the actual cost of shipping plus a buck for the box and packing materials. Those items must be shipped to your Paypal address in accordance with Paypal rules.
