CHRISTENSEN AGATE COMPANY, Original Package. A nice original box, with the original marbles. This is the salmon and green Gropper Onyx Marble Company Christensen Agates Favorite Marble Assortment. There are five sizes of this series of folded boxes. In ascending size: the tiny square one with the cut-out 'C', the tan Favorite Marble Assortment with the two diagonal cutouts and cutout center circle, this box, the green box with the bizarre head on the back, and then the larger red Favorite Marble Assortment No. 25. The box front has a children shooting marbles with a marble ring at the center. The box back depicts two children playing marbles. The box has bright coloring, with no fading, but there is a small piece missing from one oval on the top of the box as shown in the image. The box included 16 dyed clays (likely Albright). These marbles are correct for the box. It is known that Christensen Agate Company included dyed clays in many of its early boxes. Typically there would have been one or two early Christensen Agate Company Slags in the box as well, but they are not present in this example. Box is 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" x 3/4". Marbles are 9/16" to 19/32". Box is Near Mint(+). The Clays are Mint.
